PEMUDA is an ongoing research and creation of a new stage work initiated in 2019, in Indonesia with a group of dance artists, dramaturges and musicians from Australia, Java, Bali and Sumatra. Exploring transient spaces between traditional and non-traditional bodies, how the ‘bridge/jembatan’ between bodies/cultures becomes a language of itself, which can transform and carry us into uncharted/imagined futures.
